Role overview:‍

We are seeking a Lead Product Designer to take charge of the overall design strategy for our team. In this senior role, you will be responsible for guiding the design team, ensuring that all design efforts align with our business objectives and user needs. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to define the vision for our product's user experience, setting the direction for the design team and driving the execution of high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the design vision and strategy across Pocket FM's products, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Lead a team of designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to help them grow in their careers.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are feasible and meet both user and business requirements.
  • Oversee the design process from concept to execution, ensuring high-quality output that elevates the user experience.
  • Advocate for the user by conducting and overseeing user research, usability testing, and other forms of qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Continuously improve and evolve the design process, introducing new tools, methods, and best practices.
  • Represent the design team in cross-functional meetings, presenting design solutions and articulating design rationale to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing leadership in design projects.
  • Proven experience leading design teams and delivering high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
  • Deep understanding of user experience principles, design systems, and product development processes.
  • Strong ability to think critically and strategically, with a focus on business impact and user needs.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • A track record of successfully launching products and features that have made a measurable impact on users and the business.
