ownpath Studios partners with companies to craft great product experiences. Over the past year we’ve worked with enterprises such as Philips Innovation, Hero Motocorp, and PhonePe, and with fast-growing startups to build design system applications, an audio editing product, a heartcare platform, and complex web experiences at scale.

We don’t stop at Figma — we combine design, technology, and business expertise to build real products that work in the market. ownpath started as an Academy where we’ve upskilled teams at Gojek, Freshworks, and hundreds of designers.

We're looking for a Design Engineer on a 3 month contract with a strong eye for detail and a love for crafting beautiful, functional user interfaces. You’ll work at the intersection of design and code — translating high-fidelity designs into clean, responsive, accessible components and contributing to both design systems and product UI.

This is a hybrid role: part designer, part front-end developer. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas to designing the core product experience
  • Implement pixel-perfect UI using HTML, CSS (or Tailwind), and Vue/React
  • Collaborate with designers to translate Figma files into production-ready code
  • Build and maintain reusable components and design systems
  • Ensure consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness across platforms
  • Identify edge cases and contribute to UX refinements
  • Work with engineering to bridge the gap between design intent and technical feasibility

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a design engineering or front-end-focused role
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar frameworks)
  • Comfortable working with design tools like Figma
  • A strong eye for visual and interaction design
  • Understanding of responsive layouts and accessibility best practices
  • Experience with component libraries or design systems is a plus
  • Bonus: Motion design or basic prototyping skills (Framer, Lottie, etc.)

Benefits

  • Strong networking potential: Interact and working with design leaders from top companies such as Spotify, Google, Microsoft, Gojek, and more.
  • Huge growth potential through personal coaching and industry exposure
  • Work on meaningful products with high-quality design standards
  • Collaborate with a thoughtful, talented team across design and engineering
  • Access to mentorship from senior designers and engineers
  • Supportive culture that values craft, learning, and autonomy
  • Macbook Pro
