We're looking for a Design Engineer on a 3 month contract with a strong eye for detail and a love for crafting beautiful, functional user interfaces. You’ll work at the intersection of design and code — translating high-fidelity designs into clean, responsive, accessible components and contributing to both design systems and product UI.
This is a hybrid role: part designer, part front-end developer. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.
Responsibilities
- Contribute ideas to designing the core product experience
- Implement pixel-perfect UI using HTML, CSS (or Tailwind), and Vue/React
- Collaborate with designers to translate Figma files into production-ready code
- Build and maintain reusable components and design systems
- Ensure consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness across platforms
- Identify edge cases and contribute to UX refinements
- Work with engineering to bridge the gap between design intent and technical feasibility
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a design engineering or front-end-focused role
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar frameworks)
- Comfortable working with design tools like Figma
- A strong eye for visual and interaction design
- Understanding of responsive layouts and accessibility best practices
- Experience with component libraries or design systems is a plus
- Bonus: Motion design or basic prototyping skills (Framer, Lottie, etc.)
Benefits
- Strong networking potential: Interact and working with design leaders from top companies such as Spotify, Google, Microsoft, Gojek, and more.
- Huge growth potential through personal coaching and industry exposure
- Work on meaningful products with high-quality design standards
- Collaborate with a thoughtful, talented team across design and engineering
- Access to mentorship from senior designers and engineers
- Supportive culture that values craft, learning, and autonomy
- Macbook Pro
