We're looking for a Design Engineer on a 3 month contract with a strong eye for detail and a love for crafting beautiful, functional user interfaces. You’ll work at the intersection of design and code — translating high-fidelity designs into clean, responsive, accessible components and contributing to both design systems and product UI.

This is a hybrid role: part designer, part front-end developer. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute ideas to designing the core product experience
  • Implement pixel-perfect UI using HTML, CSS (or Tailwind), and Vue/React
  • Collaborate with designers to translate Figma files into production-ready code
  • Build and maintain reusable components and design systems
  • Ensure consistency, accessibility, and responsiveness across platforms
  • Identify edge cases and contribute to UX refinements
  • Work with engineering to bridge the gap between design intent and technical feasibility

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a design engineering or front-end-focused role
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React (or similar frameworks)
  • Comfortable working with design tools like Figma
  • A strong eye for visual and interaction design
  • Understanding of responsive layouts and accessibility best practices
  • Experience with component libraries or design systems is a plus
  • Bonus: Motion design or basic prototyping skills (Framer, Lottie, etc.)

Benefits

  • Strong networking potential: Interact and working with design leaders from top companies such as Spotify, Google, Microsoft, Gojek, and more.
  • Huge growth potential through personal coaching and industry exposure
  • Work on meaningful products with high-quality design standards
  • Collaborate with a thoughtful, talented team across design and engineering
  • Access to mentorship from senior designers and engineers
  • Supportive culture that values craft, learning, and autonomy
  • Macbook Pro
